How Our Rehoming Process Works

Our rehoming process is designed to ensure healthy puppies, happy families, and smooth transitions. Here’s our simple, caring approach:

Inquiry & Introduction

You reach out to us — and we welcome you warmly. We answer every question, learn about your lifestyle, and help you determine if an Aussie or Border Collie is the right fit.
Personality Match

Not every puppy fits every family. We observe each pup daily to understand temperament, energy, curiosity, cuddling style, confidence, and adaptability. Then we match your puppy with a fitting home.
Adoption Applications

Interested adopters fill out our detailed Adoption Application form. This helps us learn about their lifestyle, family, home, and experience with dogs — so we can make the best match possible.
Matching & Meet-and-Greet

Once we find a potential match, we schedule a meet-and-greet (in person or virtual). We let both the family and the dachshund interact naturally — comfort, connection, and chemistry matter most! If all goes well, the adoption is approved.
Final Steps & Support

After approval, the adopter completes the rehoming agreement and pays a small adoption fee to help cover care costs. We provide a complete health record, vaccination history, and starter care guide. But our support doesn’t end there — we stay in touch to ensure each puppy settles happily into their new home.
